JARIPATKA Police arrested five criminals planning to commit a major crime and seized knives, steel cutter, packets of chilli powder, screwdrivers and other material from their possession in the small hours of Wednesday. The accused have been identified as Shubham Sanjay Ganvir (23), a resident of Nara Road, Shubham Rajesh Bhagat (24), a resident of Motha Indora, Harsh Sadanand Bombarde (19), a resident of Bhimsena Nagar, Kamal Ramdas Kale (24), a resident of Lane No 1, Indira Nagar and Avinash Laxman Ragose (21), a resident of Lurd Mata Nagar. Cops registered an offence under Sections 399, 402 of the Indian Penal Code, read with Section 4+25 of Arms Act and 135 of Maharashtra Police Act, against them.
