Officials told to draw policy so that land in MIDC is easily available for aspiring industrialists
 
 
VIJAY Wadettiwar, Minister of Disaster Management, Relief And Rehabilitation, Bahujan Kalnayan Department and Guardian Minister of Chandrapur, issued directives to provide impetus to industries facing slowdown due to lockdown, deficiency of labourers and social distancing norms. He called upon MIDC and District Industries Centre to step forward to help industrialists and promote new industrialisation in MIDC. He told officers to draw such a policy that the land in MIDC is easily available for aspiring industrialists in the meeting held at Niyojan Bhawan.
 
MP Balu Dhanorkar, MLA Prathibha Dhanorkar, MLA Kishore Jorgewar, District Collector Dr Kunal Khemnar, ZP CEO, Rahul Kardile, along with representatives of different trader unions and industrialists were present during the meeting. General Manager of District Industries Centre Swapnil Rathod gave presentation of industrial status and position of business before and after Covid-19 pandemic. MP Dhanorkar and MLA Jorgewar raised issue providing empty land blocks unused by industrialists in MIDC to promote new entrepreneurs in the district. They informed that the inspiring youths often do not get any kind of information in this regard.
 
They called upon MIDC administration to focus on the the issue. Bhanudas Yadav, Regional Officer of MIDC, informed that the blocks in MIDC are provided online. However, President of MIDC Industries Association Madhusudan Roongta demanded that all decision regarding allotment of land block in MIDC should be taken at Chandrapur or Nagpur to ease availability of land for industrialists.
 
The demand of promoting ancillary industry with help of large scale industries in Chandrapur was also raised by representatives of industries during the meeting. They claimed that largescale cement industries can help lot of smaller industries by purchasing ancillary equipments. The matter of rejuvenation of cluster was also discussed during the meeting. The demand of making a viable policy for promoting rice mill industry in Chandrapur and providing land for MIDC in Brahmapuri was also discused during the meeting.
