Research centre of Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital manufactures stress relieving herbal sanitiser
Herbal sanitiser which not only sanitises but also helps in relieving stress is being manufactured and supplied free of cost by Jawaharlal Nehru Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in the State capital. This sanitiser has been developed under the guidance of CEO Divya Parashar. As lockdown norms have been relaxed, rush of people in medical shops to purchase sanitiser is being witnessed.
The medical shops are having sanitiser mostly which contains 70 to 85 % alcohol whereas herbal sanitiser needs only 20% still effective and also provides mild fragrance which helps in freshness and also relives stress. Talking about its effectiveness of sanitiser, Dr Ganesh Narayan, who is involved in manufacturing of this sanitiser, said that it is clinically tested for its effectiveness and they have got feedback from hospital staff, patients and police personnel for whom distribution of this sanitiser was done free of cost that the fragrance is mild unlike other sanitiser which has got strong smell of alcohol.
As a pilot project this sanitiser is being distributed to patients and COVID-19 front line warriors in cancer hospital for free. Later, if required, then they are also planning to manufacture this on larger scale as in coming times more sanitisers will be required in market, especially for hospital staff and patients.
