Notorious goon Balya Wanjari murdered in Pardi

Sensation prevailed in Pardi area on Sunday evening after notorious goon Balya Wanjari (56) was brutally killed by two persons after Wanjari threatened them of dire consequences and slapped one of the accused. Accused Narendra Mehar (49) and his younger brother Ravi Mehar (45), both residents of Pardi, have been arrested by Pardi Police for killing Pradip alias Balya Neelkanth Wanjari, said Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone V Neelotpal. Narendra and Balya were fighting over some disputes for last six months. Balya used to threaten Narendra of eliminating him over the dispute, the police said.
On Sunday at 1 pm, Balya came at the shop of Mehar where he again threatened them of dire consequences and also slapped Narendra. After two hours, Balya again arrived at Mehar’s shop at 4 pm and started abusing them.
In a fit of rage, Ravi picked a wooden rod and hit on the head of Balya. When he collapsed on the ground, he smashed his head by hitting repeatedly with the rod, the police said. Profusely bleeding Balya died on the spot. Staff of Pardi Police Station and Crime Branch rushed to the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
