Railways introduces new schemes in freights for traders: DRM Biswas

“WITH several train services suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic, Railways has brought new schemes in freights,” said Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Jabalpur, Sanjay Biswas while addressing the mediapersons in the conference hall of DRM on Thursday. Addressing the media, the DRM, Jabalpur, said passenger services have been suspended due to COVID-19 as presently the emphasis is being given to freight services.
 
Expatiating upon lucrative schemes in freight, Biswas informed that mini rack will be made operational, station to station booking and concession freight will be given to traders. Lucrative schemes will prove of immense worth to marginal traders.
 
The aim behind enhancement of freight is to provide reasonable and safe freight to traders. Under the concession that would be given 20 to 30 per cent rebate will be given to traders. Similarly, in freight more than 700 kilometers traders will be given rebate of 15 per cent. During the press conference, top brass of Jabalpur division were present including Additional DRM Deepak Kumar Gupta, Senior DCM Vishwa Ranjan, Senior DCM (Coaching) Manoj Kumar Gupta, Senior DOM Dr Madhur Verma, DCM Devesh Soni and ACM Pankaj Dubey.
