CM to talk to street vendors through video conferencing today

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan would have dialogue with street vendors through video conferencing at 4 pm, on Saturday. Hence, to connect street vendors with the programme, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) has made all needed arrangements at divisional offices and headquarters. Divisional officers and other concerned senior officials have been asked to ensure participation of street vendors in the programme by following proper social distancing. Senior officials informed that Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will communicate with selected street vendors of the city through video conferencing and give guidance towards upliftment and self-reliance of beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, Municipal Commissioner Anoop Kumar Singh has directed all divisional officers to ensure participate of maximum number of street vendors in the programme by following proper social distancing and other guidelines issued to protect people from COVID-19. He has also given responsibility for proper conduction of the programme to senior officials.
The officials would communicate with divisional officers and inform them of necessary guidelines about the programme. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has launched the Prime Minister Street Vendor Self-Reliant Fund Scheme for upliftment and self-reliance of urban street vendors. Under the scheme, thousands of beneficiaries are being benefited by providing them a loan of Rs 10,000 from different banks and connecting them to the mainstream of society and making them self-reliant.
