In order to combat COVID-19, Bhopal Railways took various initiatives for employees. Railway has made face mask and hand wash mandatory for staff. Any employee fail to carry mask on his face would not be allowed to enter the office. Paddle operated wash basin has been also placed at the entrance gate, where all staff wash the hand before entry.
 
Thermal screening has been also made mandatory for all at Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) office. Contact less thermal imaging camera has been placed at railway stations and offices, where thermal screening is being made for all. Railway PRO IA Siddique said, “sometime, contact less thermal imaging camera does not produce clear picture and in such case, guard check the temperature with hard gun. Any found to be suspected temperature, send to the hospital for further screening.”
 
He further informed that Arogya Setu App has been installed on every one’s mobile phone. Railway Protection Force has been deployed to check the following of guidelines. DRM office and station premises are being sanitised on every Sunday. Handles, doors and other things are being cleaned regularly. Currently, maximum 50 per cent staffs are visiting the office and remaining are working from home. Roster plan has been made for employees to be present in office.
