Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CPCC) President Mohan Markam has indicated that the list of names for political appointments in boards, corporations and commissions would be issued by Wednesday. Talking to mediapersons in Raipur on Tuesday, Mohan Markam revealed that the first list of the party leaders for boards, corporations and commissions would be issued by Wednesday.
 
The names of at least 20 senior party leaders, who worked and struggled for the party during the last 15 years and dethroned the BJP government, have been finalized for the posts in boards, corporations and commissions. Later, in a second list, the party leaders will be given berth in the boards, corporations and commissions, where caste and regional balance will be given due weightage, Markam added. In-charge of the State Congress P L Punia reached Raipur and held meeting with the senior party leaders.
 
Four MLAs including Arun Vora, Mahendra Bahadur, Chandan Kashyap and Bhuvneshwar Baghel may get berths. Besides Senior Congress leaders Karuna Shukla, Ramgopal Agrawal, Girish Dewangan, Ballu Pathak, Shafiq Ahmed, Ajay Agrawal, Shailesh Nitin Trivedi, Chhabindra Karma, Mithlesh Swarnakar and Subhash Dhuppad are among the top contenders for the posts in boards, corporations and commissions.
