Girls outshine boys by 5.78%, overall pass percentage remains 62.84 % 
 
Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) declared the high school certificate examination 2020 result on Saturday. Overall pass percentage of this year registered 62.84 %, which is 1.52% more than the last year. Total 15 examinees excelled with 100 percentage result, secured 300 out 300 marks. Continuing first position for last many years, the girls once again outperformed boys with 65.87% while the boys’ pass percentage remained 60.09%.
 
As per district-wise, Bhopal registered 79.04 % pass percentage. Government schools performed better with 68.97% than private schools with 62.37% in Bhopal. This year, the high school examinations were held from March 1 to 19, 2020 at 3,936 exam centres. Total 8,93,336 regular examinees and 2,04,110 private examinees had appeared in the examinations. Among these, 8,91,866 regular examinees results got declared on Saturday. Out of which 3,42,390 secured first division, 2,15,162 secured second division and 2,922 secured the third division.
 
Thus, 5,60,474 examinees passed and 1,08,448 got supplementary while 1,444 examinees’ results are withheld as it will be declared after verification of the marks. Notably, the board has also declared the results of Divyang and visually and hearing impaired students. Pass percentage registered was 68.77 %, including 67.12% of boys and 73.20% of girls.
 
Jabalpur: 61.52% pass, 14 in State’s top-10 merit list

With fourteen students securing place for themselves in the State-level top-10 merit list, Jabalpur district has obtained passing percentage of 61.52% in Class X Board Examinations-2020 whose result was announced by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education on Saturday. The overall passing percentage of Jabalpur district has registered an increase of 13.67% in comparison to last year. Surprisingly, in comparison to 67.83% results secured by the government schools’ students, private schools obtained 54.16%.
 
Seven students made it in the district-level top-three merit list. The fourteen students who made the district proud with their performance mentioned in the State-level merit list comprised of Jigyasa Jain from St. Norbert’s Girl’s HS School who secured 5th position with (298/300) marks, Shubham Kushwaha from Salem English Medium School, Sihora, Anish Patel from Samdariya Public School, Sanchar Khare from Pt. Lajja Shankar Jha School of Excellence and Kumud Tripathi from Spring Day School who obtained 7th position with (297/300) marks.
 
The 8th, 9th and 10th positions were shared by three students each including Puja Singh from Takshshila HSS Sihora, Kanchan Kushwaha from Saraswati HSS, Ranjhi and Pavitra Patel from Saraswati HSS, Adhartal who obtained 8th position each with (395/400) marks, Tanish Sahu from Salem HSS, Sihora, Saransh Votri from KKV English Medium School and Aadi Jain from Pt. Lajja Shankar Jha HS School on 9th position each with (296/300) while 10th position was shared by Yash Pyasi from Saraswati HSS, Garha Phatak, Srijan Kewat from Government Naveen HSS, Ranjhi and Kuldeep Singh Thakur from Saraswati HSS, Ranjhi who secured 394/400 marks respectively. Abhishek Kumar Vishwakarma, a student of Shramodaya Awasiya Vidyalay secured first position in the District-level top-three merit list by scoring 393 out of 400 marks. The second position was shared by 5 tudents including Sakshi Jain from St. Norbert’s Girl’s HSS (294/300), Ritesh Singh Thakur from Government HSS, Belkheda (392/400), Kalash Asati from Varni Digamber Jain Gurukul (294/300), Soumya Jain from Wisdom Public HSS, (294/400) and Vraddhi Valecha from GG Singh Khalsa School (294) while Manish Choudhary from Maharashta HSS obtained third position with (391/400), respectively.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan congratulated students on passing Class X MP Board examination. He specially congratulated Abhinav Sharma of Bhind, Lakshdeep Dhakad and Priyansh Raghuvanshi of Guna for securing first, second and third positions respectively in the board examination. Chief Minister Chouhan extended best wishes to the students for their bright future. The Chief Minister said that there is no need to be sad and disappointed even if the result of any student has not come as expected in the 10th board examination. They will get many more opportunities in life. He said that these students will get the chance to prove their ability in many examinations, in which they will also succeed; my blessings are always with you.
