AFTER missing the top spot by a whisker twice, Arush Chitre made it sure he claims the crown on the third attempt as he won the seventh edition of Online Blitz Chess Tournament organised by Nagpur District Chess Association through the platform of lichess.org. Ten-year-old Chitre ended up with eight points from possible nine to emerge clear winner of the seventh edition. His only loss came against Sumedh Ramteke in the last round. But that did not affect much as he emerged clear winner.
 
On his way to his first title, Arush stunned Pramod Ramteke, Saksham Singh, Harsh Nachankar, Shraddha Bajaj, Krupal Wanjari, Arena Grand Master R Siva Subramanian, Aditya Bodkhe and Nitish Rathi. Shraddha stood second with seven points while Rathi ended up third with 6.5 points in his kitty. Total 35 players participated in the tournament.
 
The tournament was conducted under the supervision of IA Swapnil Bansod, IA Pravin Pantawane and FA Umesh Panbude. TOP TEN: 1. Arush Chitre (8), 2. Shraddha Bajaj (7), 3. Nitish Rathi (6.5), 4. Aditya Bodkhe (6), 5. Sumedh Ramteke (6), 6. Nilay Kulkarni (6), 7/ Kaustav Barat (6), 8. Siva Subramaniam (5.5), 9. Krupal Wanjari (5.5), 10. Ashwin Gurbani (5.5).
