Rambhia to raise funds for war widows with 74 kms run on 74th I-Day

Funds raised will be donated to widows of soldiers who made supreme sacrifice 
 
A KNOWN city sports enthusiast Mitesh Rambhia will run 74 kms on August 15 to mark the occasion of 74th Independence Day of India and to raise funds for widows of our soldiers who made supreme sacrifice fighting for the country. “The supreme sacrifice of our valiant soldiers make their families suffer for life. The least we can do is ease their financial worries,” said Rambhia, who, is supported by his school Saraswati Vidyalaya’s Alumni Association for the fund-raising run.
 
Rambhia will start his run on August 15 at 4 am from Saraswati Vidyalaya, Shankar Nagar. He will run in a loop of 6 kms from Shankar Nagar Square to Japanese Garden Square and back. He will do 12.5 rounds of the loop to complete the distance. Route: Shankar Nagar Square – Laxmi Bhavan Square – Law College Square – Ladies Club Square – Japanese Garden Square – and Back on the same route. Rambhia has appealed to the citizens to come forward and donate generously for the cause. The amount raised will be donated to the War Widows to help them in their various activities.
 
“I am expecting to raise about Rs two lakh. By Tuesday evening, the amount collected is Rs 30,000,” he informed. Rambhia is a Marathon Organiser in Central India and Brand Ambassador for numerous marathons across the country.
 
In December 2017 he did a solo run of 890 kms in 13 days from Mumbai to Nagpur to create awareness about ‘Organ Donation’. He was supported in his endeavour by Saraswati Vidyalaya’s Alumni Association and Indian Medical Association. Mitesh trains under Sunil Kapgate of Jai Athletics Club, Nagpur.
