Minster for Home Affairs Narottam Mishra, on Independence Day, inaugurated the new Arera Hills police station and handed over appointment letters to kin of corona warriors, who died while discharging their duties amid corona pandemic.
The two kin of the deceased cops were appointed as sub-inspectors at the new Arera Hills branch on the compassionate grounds. Mishra handed over appointment letters to martyr police inspector Devendra Kumar Chandravanshi’s wife Sushma Chandravanshi and to police inspector Yashwant Pal’s daughter Falguni Pal on the post of sub-inspectors. Devendra was posted at Indore and Yashwant was in Ujjain, giving their relentless services, amid coronavirus pandemic.
Both had contracted the viral infection and could not survive. Inaugurating the new police station, Mishra said, “The police department played a commendable role in successfully implementing the Covid-19 lockdown.” DGP Vivek Johri, who was also present on the occasion, said, “The number of police stations in Bhopal has gone up to 41 excluding crime branch, AJK. Mahila Thana and traffic police station.”
