The Food Safety Department has once again started the services of mobile food testing laboratory under their ‘Ghar Ghar Shuddhta’ campaign. Under this, the mobile laboratory will visit different areas in the city and people can get any edible tested at this laboratory.
 
Chief Food Safety Officer, DK Verma told ‘The Hitavada’ that, on Wednesday, the laboratory visited Karond, Ashoka Garden, Koh-e-Fiza and other areas. He added that 55 samples were taken and tested, and all of them turned out fine during the testing. A day before the laboratory visited Govindpura and Qazi Camp area. So far 177 samples have been tested by the laboratory in past two days.
 
Verma also said that along with a Food Safety Officer and Drug Inspector too remains deployed on the laboratory for testing. The officers, during their visit, also inspect the nearby restaurants to ensure the adherence of social distancing norms there. On Thursday, the laboratory will visit Jehangirabad area at 10:30am, later at 1:00pm it will reach Jawahar Chowk and then will visit the nearby areas including Depot square from 4pm to 5:30pm, Verma added.
