The park has 24 species of butterflies in display. For nesting of butterflies, verities of host plants have planted. Facility of e-rickshaw has added attraction among the visitors 
 
With reopening of Butterfly Park during unlock period in city, count of visitors at Van Vihar National Park are rising every day. Especially children are thronging to capture the beauty of flies in their camera. The park has 24 species of butterflies in display. For nesting of butterflies, verities of host plants have planted. Facility of e-rickshaw has added attraction among the visitors.
 
A K Jain, deputy director Van Vihar said, “We kept the butterfly park open for all during unlock. People are purposely visiting park to see the flies. We are surpise to see the rising footfall of tourist. During winters, more species will be visible as it would be nesting period.” He further informed that the park is developed in 60X60 sq meter of area and naturally it is open area where verities of host plants and nectar saplings have been planted to attract the butterflies.
 
These plants will help butterflies to spend the life circle in this particular area. There are species like Blue Tiger, Plain Tiger, Scripted Common Tiger, Common Banded, All Common Evening Brown, etc species. The butterfly park was abandoned at Van Vihar for two years and then during March 2019, decision was taken to redevelop the park for attracting tourist.
