Kondagaon Collector inspects under construction corn processing plant

Collector Pushpendra Kumar Meena carried out inspection of the under construction corn processing plant Maa Dantevari Makka Prasaskaran at Kokodi. He inspected and gathered information about the progress of all ongoing work and discussed in detail plans for the future tasks. Present on the location, site engineer Shashank Tiwari updated him in detail about the construction work. Collector instructed for time bound completion of various other stages of the plant construction including administrative office, and execution of various machineries.
Collector Meena instructed to speed up the work so as to complete it on time. SDO Pavan Premi and Manging Director L Ukei were also present at the site. It may be mentioned that the set deadline by the administration to complete the task is 2021-22.
The total cost of construction is Rs 136 crore, 93% of which will be incurred by the administration and the rest will be obtained from farmers co-operative councils. The plant will benefit more than 65,000 corn producing farmers plus it will provide employment to more than a thousand people from Kokodi and its nearby villages.
