Divisional Commr seeks info on action plan to control pollution

Divisional Commissioner Mahesh Chandra Choudhary has directed officers of the MP Pollution Control Board to prepare an action plan to improve air quality in the district. He also instructed for a rigorous survey of different trades and workshops which are causing pollution in the city. Works causing pollution should be shifted at separate place and including this area under master plan of the city.

The Divisional Commissioner was chairing a meeting of Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board, on Wednesday. Collector Bharat Yadav, Regional Pollution Control Board, Officer, Pushpendra Singh and officers of other concerned departments attended the meeting. Addressing the meeting, Divisional Commissioner, Choudhary instructed the MPPCB Regional Officer for collection information from all the departments about their activities.

He informed that a detailed report submitted by Jabalpur Municipal Corporation is being including in the action plan. Collector, Bharat Yadav asked the regional pollution control officer about installation of air pollution assessment and other data collection devices on smart poles at different parts of the city. He also suggested for increasing number of LED display boards, its linking with Smart City and integration of PUC centres with Smart City. During the meeting, officers of Jabalpur Municipal Corporation gave presentation of detail report different works under non-attainment city.
