Two SSB officials selected for UN Mission

Two Officials of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) under SHQ (Spl-Ops) Bhilai, named Priyadarshini Niharika Sinha, Assistant Commandant 28th Battalion SSB, Antagarh, Kanker and Const (GD)- Digeshwari Sahu of SHQ (Spl- Ops) SSB, Bhilai, deployed in Bhilai have been selected for the United Nations Stabilisation Mission Congo Female Engagement Team.
 
Priyadarshini Niharika Sinha, Assistant Commandant, daughter of Mahesh Sinha, (Retired Dy S P, Chhattisgarh Police), who hails from Durg, Chhattisgarh studied in St Xavier High School, Durg and then completed her BE degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Stream. She joined Sashastra Seema Bal in the year 2014 and is currently posted at 28 Battalion SSB, Antagarh (Chhattisgarh), engaged in Rowghat Railway Line Project in Naxal prone area of  Kanker district.
 
While, the Constable (GD), Digeshwari Sahu is the daughter of Ashok Kumar Sahu, Resident of Village Golkumhada, Charama, Distt-Kanker (Chhattisgarh). She studied at Golakumhada Higher Secondary Girls, Charama and completed Bachelor of Arts at Babu Chhotalal Shrivastav, Post Graduation from Dhamtari, College. The United Nations organisation stabilisation mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo or MONUSCO since 2010 is a United Nations peacekeeping force in the Democratic Republic of Congo that was established by United Nations Security Council to monitor the peace process of the Second Congo war.
 
The team of woman peace keeping will help in engaging with the local woman and children who are worst affected by the conflict. The Indian Female Engagement Team (FET) will conduct patrolling and engage with woman and local in that country to gain their trust. They will also undertake civil programmes and assist in conduct of investigation and riot control among other duties.
