Excise Department has registered a case against 12 persons, including 7 women, involved in illegal production of liquor 
 
Continuing a rigorous campaign against illegal trade and production of liquor, a team of Excise Department raided the illegal kiln of country liquor and destroyed 12,000-kilograms raw materials used for production of country liquor and 35-litres illegal stock of country-made liquor at Kuchbandhiya Mohalla, on Saturday. Excise Department has registered a case against 12 persons including seven women involved in illegal production of liquor.
 
District Excise Department, Control Room in-charge, GL Maravi informed that under the direction of District Magistrate and Collector, Karmveer Sharma under the supervision of Assistant Excise Officer, S N Dubey, they have started a special campaign against illegal trade, transportation and production of liquor. During the campaign, they received information about illegal production of liquor in Kuchbandhiya Mohalla.
 
Acting promptly on the information, Excise Team Circle-4 Ghamapur raided the identified spot and found Laxmi Bai Kuchhbandhiya, Kanta Bai Kuchbandhiya, Rukmani Kuchbandhiya, Pushpa Kuchbandhiya, Bindo Bai Kuchbandhiya, Vivek Kuchbandhiya, Kamleshwar Kuchbandhiya, Sunita Kuchbandhiya, Rajesh Sahu, Parvati Bai Kuchbandhiya and Sonu Kuchbandhiya. In the raid, Excise team seized 12,000-kilograms raw materials and 35-litres illegal stock of country-made liquor.
 
Excise Department has registered a case under Section 34(1)(A) and 34(C) of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act. During the raid, Excise team was comprised of Assistant Excise Officer, GD Lahariya, Ramji Pandey, Bharti Gond, SI, Ravishankar Maravi, Girha Dhurve, Ramayan Dwivedi and Constables, Narendra Uike, Nakelal Bagri, Anil Jharia and others.
