On appeal of Minister Vishwas Sarang directors of private hospitals agreed to reserve 20 per cent beds for patients and display rates for treatment of COVID patients on the notice board 
 
Medical Education Minister Vishwas Sarang appealed to the directors of private hospitals to reserve 20 per cent beds for patients enlisted under Ayushman Yojana. His appeal was accepted by the private hospital directors who became ready to reserve 20 per cent beds in their hospitals to treat Covid patients under Ayushman Yojana. Minister Sarang was chairing COVID review meeting at the Collectorate on Wednesday. The directors also agreed to display rates for treatment of COVID patients on notice board.
 
Extending gratitude towards private hospital directors for providing treatment to COVID patients, the Minister expected that private hospitals will render complete support to Government agencies in the battle against COVID-19 and give priority to public interest. The Medical Education Minister informed that bed efficiency in NSCB Medical College Hospital and District Hospital is being increased regularly so that every COVID patient avails free treatment. He sought details about availability of required facilities, ICU and oxygen-supported beds in both the Government hospitals along with Railway and Military Hospital and private hospitals as well.
 
The meeting was also attended by MLA, Cantt, Ashok Rohani, MLA, Ajay Vishnoi, Susheel Tiwari, Additional Chief Secretary, Mohammed Suleman, Divisional Commissioner, Mahesh Chandra Choudhary, IG BS Chouhan, Collector, Karmveer Sharma, SP Siddhartha Bahuguna and President, Nursing Home Association, Dr Jitendra Jamdar. Additional Chief Secretary, Health Suleman emphasised on need to intensify efforts being made to increase efficiency in hospitals. He asked private hospital directors to ensure treatment to every patient approaching them if beds are vacant in their hospitals. They must ensure not to display any differentiation on the basis of patients’ financial status. He also asked them to strictly adhere to guidelines and protocols issued by the Government for treatment of COVID patients.
