PANDARIA,

TALENT is everywhere and in various forms. One such talented persons is Balram Panaria, who has mastered in snake catching. He has been catching snakes since 10 years. Hence, he is famous across Pandaria block. Balram, a resident of Kodwa Godan, is called every time a person sees snakes in his house. The striking point is that Balram has neither inherited this skill from his ancestors nor obtained any formal training about this. Recently, a giant snake entered a person’s house.

On being called, Balram caught the snake and threw it into Chindipara dam. While talking to our correspondent, Balram told that he catches snake without any safety equipments. On the insistence of the villagers, he catches snakes from the houses of people. He added that if the administration provides safety equipment to catch the snake, it will be quite easier for him to catch the snake.

Most of the area in Pandaria is forest-covered and thus seeing snakes and other reptiles are very common in the area. Some of the local residents said that the district administration should organise training programmes for snake catchers so that they could do their work with more safety.
