INDIA is the first and only country (till date) which has successfully launched Mangalyan (MOM) Mission in it’s very first attempt. Mangalyan still works successfully and contributes in collecting precious information regarding Mars. India also enjoys the credit of successfully launching 104 satellites altogether, once again in the very first attempt. Indian students have great potential, which they can use to take our country to the peak of Space Science, opined Ravi Kumar Verma, Space Scientist, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). Space Scientist Verma was addressing the national webinar on ‘Indian Space Programme’ organised by the Department of Applied Physics, Jabalpur Engineering College on Saturday.
Verma who contributed in space projects including Chandrayaan-I Mission, Mangalyan (MOM) Mission, Chandrayaan-II missions, further shared technical knowledge about uniqueness of every spacecraft utilised during different space missions. The webinar received overwhelming response from around 800 participants who registered to attend the webinar from across the country.
Webinar Convener Dr K K Kushwaha said that this interaction between the Space Scientist and participants will definitely unlock new arena in the field of Science and Technology and will be a milestone for the college students to build their career in space science. Principal of JEC Dr A K Sharma said that the experiences and knowledge shared Space Scientist Verma, will help the students in long run. Dr S K Mahobia introduced the speaker before participants. Dr Kushwaha proposed vote of thanks specially mentioning about technical committee members Palak, Shakti, Om and others. It is to be mentioned that Dr Bhavana Singh, Dr Ruchi Nigam and Professor Hameed Khan were present in control room to control online event.
