CREDAI Nagpur Metro has written letter to Prakash Patil, Deputy General of Registration and Deputy Controller of Stamps (DIGR) to use all sub registrar offices of city for registration of documents of Nagpur rural area. In the letter, CREDAI said, “We are the association of builders and developers of Nagpur region and working under the guidance of CREDAI-Maharashtra and CREDAI National.
At present we have membership of more than 300 which is ever increasing.” Currently, the development of city is spreading to nearby areas around the Nagpur city. Most of the new projects are being developed in the Metro region around Nagpur Municipal Corporation limits. Due to this, large number of documents are coming for registrations in the rural sub registrar office No 7 and 10. Since, only two offices and that too with the limited staff is catering to this large area, registration process is taking place with a very slow pace and number of pending documents for registration are increasing day by day. The slow speed of server also hampers the performance.
At present, one has to wait for more than five days for his turn to get the document registered. There are 7 sub registrar’s offices in Nagpur city and 2 in Nagpur rural area. CREDAI Nagpur Metro suggests that if all the sub registrar offices in city are used to register documents from rural/gramin areas also, the work load may get evenly distributed and situation may improve. Such a step has already been taken in other places including Pune city which should also be implemented in the Nagpur city. “We request that the documents from the Nagpur Gramin area may please be permitted to the registered in any of the sub registrars offices and oblige. We hope that our request will be addressed favourably and due instructions shall be issued at the earliest,” said Gaurav Agarwala, General Secretary of CREDAI Nagpur Metro in a press release issued here.
