Students of Cummins College of Engg for Women develop apps during lockdown

The Maharshi Karve Stree Shikshan Samstha’s Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Nagpur focuses on the empowerment and enrichment of women through education and innovative training of job skills which is achieved by working on the latest technological areas in the form of projects.
 
During the recently lockdown period students were given various ideas for development of project for college use. The project idea came from Principal Dr B P Joshi and project was developed under mentorship and guidance of Prof Vidya Raut.
 
These innovative projects am “CCOEW Admission Portal”, “The On-line Learning Tracker Application” and Cummins On-line voting System CCOEW Admission Portal provides a facility to parents and students to visit the college virtually by taking a virtual tour, were designed using AutoCAD and SketchUp software by Mrunal Kakirwar. It can also interact with college staff directly through web-based chat boss, which was developed by Gayatri Supatkar. The software mechanism is designed by Ritu Kotalwar and Ananya Gupta. The on-line learning module developed an android application which is helpful in keeping a track of syllabus completion for all subjects. This project has helped to reduce the paperwork and can also maintain the records of syllabus completion in these tough times of COVID19 during lockdown period. This App is developed on android platform by Vaishnavi Moharil and Maithili Warkhedkar.
 
Cummins On Line voting System developed by using Software Android Studio, MySql , Xampp , Notpad, Brackets, Adobe XD, and Adobe illustrator, for student council election which is held every academic year in the college. The app is developed by Meenakshi Kharwade, Sejal Shahare, Annanya Gupta and Aslunita Ghosh. The project was mentored by Jay Parmar from Beta Datain Pvt. Ltd.
