Sarwate to lead IIA, Nagpur centre

The new executive committee of The Indian Institute of Architects (IIA) - Nagpur centre for the term 2020-2022 was installed on recently at its general body meeting held at Hotel Center Point, Ramdaspeth, Nagpur. The team headed by Ar Raviraj Sarwate took charge from the outgoing team headed by Ar Paramjit Singh Ahuja.
 
The new executive committee comprises Ar Raviraj Sarwate - Chairman; Ar Sunil Degwekar - Vice Chairman; Ar Rajesh Kakde - Treasurer and Ar Neha Jaipuria Shelke - Secretary; and Ar Paramjit Singh Ahuja - Immediate Past Chairman. The executive committee also includes Ar Aniket Khodwe, Ar Husain Karori, Ar Rahul Dandekar, Ar Nitin Kurvey and Ar Priyadarshan Nagpurkar as the Executive Members. On the occasion, Ar Raviraj Sarwate congratulated the outgoing committee for their successful tenure and briefed the members about the various programmes that would be taken up in the new tenure of two years.
 
These programmes are mainly organised for the students of Architecture, the professionals and the people of Nagpur. The Chairman also announced that “Rachana” the exposition of building materials and home automation will not be organised this year due to the ongoing corona virus pandemic and will be definitely organised in the month of January 2022 and that too on a grandscale. The installation ceremony was attended by past chairmen, senior members and many young members of IIA Nagpur Centre.
