JSW-NDFA Sr Div to start from Feb 10

 

FINALLY, NDFA’s league will resume from February 10. The JSW NDFA league will kick off at Bharat Ratna Dr BR Ambedkar Football Stadium at Suyog Nagar, north Nagpur. The pending league of Senior Division would set the game rolling in the city. Twenty teams are divided into four groups of five each.

 

Group A consists of Veer Football Club, Hansraj FC, Gouhar FC, Nagpur Star and Mervic FC. Group B comprises Green Flag, Young Boys, Al Fateh and Rahul Academy. Group C has Birsa Munda, Eagle ‘B’, Bezanbagh FC and Nobel FC while Group D has Young Ansar FC, Shakti Club, Mecosabagh FC, Big Ben FC and Bhankheda FC.

Taking all precautions amid COVID-19, the association has decided to keep the gates closed for general public. Clubs can avail the fixtures from Abid Khan, Convenor of the league, at the ground from 5 pm to 7pm.

VIDARBHA Hockey Association (VHA) will be organising Vishal Mohankumar Bhagat memorial hockey tournament from February 13 at its ground off Amravati Road.

The association is expecting around 16 teams in the competition. The entry fee is Rs 300 per team and the last date of entry is February 8. Those interested can contact Noel Joseph, Yagya Thakur, Vivek Siriah or Satish Fulsunge. Details can also be obtained from VHA office.
