Congress MLA and ex-Minister P C Sharma and his supporters staged dharna before Mata Mandir area based Bhopal Municipal Corporation office on Tuesday. Congress District President Kailash Mishra, ex-Mayor Vibha Patel, ex-corporator Mahesh Malviya were present. Sharma said that streetlights are defunct as electricity bill has been not paid. The darkness rules the street and local denizens faces lot of problem.
 
Moreover, development works of city have hit the brake as payment of contractors has been not paid. Corona has left many youths jobless and to eke out livelihood, if they install a small kiosk alongside the road then BMC officials confiscate their kiosk. He alleged that without any information, slums are being removed. Recently, 25 slums were removed without any intimation. Displaced slum dwellers are facing huge problem.
 
He said that if arrangements of Bhopal Municipal Corporation is not corrected then he will launch public movement. Kailash Mishra alleged that Bhopal Municipal Corporation has failed to do basic works related to drain cleaning, water supply, electricity works (of street lights) etc. He claimed that BMC is unable to give wages of 25 day workers.
