Superintendent of Police, SIddharth Bahuguna inaugurated the newly-inducted ‘Interceptor Vehicles’ for better monitoring of traffic management and checking violation of traffic rules, on Monday. Taking a serious note on increasing numbers of road accidents, Madhya Pradesh Power Headquarters are providing advanced technologies at district headquarters for better implementation of traffic norms. In this series, an interceptor vehicle laces with speed radar run, infrared, GPS, speed capturing cameras etc has been provided 33 district headquarters including Jabalpur police. Speaking on the occasion, SP SIddharth Bahuguna said that strict implementation of traffic safety norms may check above 50 percent of road accidents.
Even after having adequate information of traffic rules, some of the people who are deliberately violate the norms by over speeding of vehicles, not using helmets and seat belts. It has been reported that casualties in road accidents are much higher than murder or other incidents. Interceptor vehicle will definitely prove beneficial in checking the violation of traffic rules. On the occasion, DSP (Traffic), Madhukar Chowkikar, Pankaj Parmar, DSP (Headquarters/CSP), Garha, Tushar Singh, Reserve Inspector, Saurabh Tiwari, Traffic Inspectors, Hemant Barhaiyya, Subedar, Pallavi Pandey, Mohan Singh, Amit Shivvanshi, Rohit Tiwari and Malik Pyasi were present. Police headquarters has trained Subedar Amit Shivvanshi and Subedar Rohit Tiwari for fluent operation of the ‘Interceptor Vehicle’.
