MLA Khatri fetes Swachhta Mitras on Valmiki Jayanti

“Indian culture has been karma-oriented, the identity of a person is not by birth, but by karma. Maharishi Valmiki became a great sage by his own karma and created Ramayana,” said MLA Berasia Vishnu Khatri while addressing a programme organised to felicitate Swachhta Mitras at Janpad Panchayat auditorium on Wednesday. MLA Khatri also said that that there are many examples in history when a person has reached the top position by his knowledge and Karma. Every class has importance in the society. Sanitation workers have great importance in the society. Swachhta Mitras make the society healthy and beautiful by keeping the premises of the residents clean. They have played an important role as frontline workers during the coronavirus pandemic. The Central and State Governments are making continuous efforts for the upliftment of the Swachhata Mitra and the weaker sections. Many schemes are being run for Antyodaya, under which free ration, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana are prominent. MLA Khatri said that to advance the society, connect your children with education, cleanliness and health. The MLA felicitated the female Swachhta Mitras by giving them a sari and a certificate of honor and the male Swachhta Mitras by giving them a Gamchha and a certificate.
 
CEO, Zila Panchayat, Vikas Mishra said said that every person has importance in the society, this is very well described in Maharishi Valmiki's Ramayana. Cleanliness plays an important role in the development of the society indirectly, in a clean environment, the family remains healthy and moves on the path of development through effort. Indian culture also gives importance to cleanliness. Changing lifestyle has raised the challenge of waste like plastic, for that there is a great need for systematic management of waste. MLA Khatri also feted government employees doing excellent work like Patwari, Teacher, Anganwadi worker, ANM, Secretary, Employment Assistant, Handpump Mistry, Anganwadi worker, Patel Kotwar and non-government citizens for their excellent work. A health camp was also organized at the venue. The school children gave the message of Gandhiji in the form of three monkeys that do not defecate in the open, do not use plastic and do not spread filth.
