Collector Harshika Singh visited various rural areas under Mandla district on Wednesday. She reviewed progress of Girdawari verification work in Binaika area. She said that early and seriously Girdawari verification of crops should be ensured. Singh visited the dam in Jantipur area. She took necessary information from the officers concerned on other important subjects including ownership plan. While discussing with villagers of Jantipur, she enquired about Covid vaccination in their area. She said that all the eligible villagers must take second dose of Covid vaccination. The Collector instructed to organise a session for second dose of Covid vaccination in Jantipur village and to vaccinate Panchayat 100 per cent. She discussed important topics including drinking water, MGNREGA work, Jal Jeevan Mission with villagers. During the visit, officers of the departments concerned including Additional Collector Meena Masram were present. While inspecting Amanala Panchayat premises, Singh inquired about vaccination work in her area from staff present. She took detailed information about the persons eligible for the second dose, pregnant women and routine vaccination from the staff of Women and Child Development.
 
The Collector said that along with Covid vaccination, work of regular vaccination should also continue. While maintaining the list of eligible persons, the Secretary and GRS should inform them about the second dose of Covid vaccination. While inspecting the Baniyatara Panchayat, she directed the concerned to match the overall data of all the villagers of the panchayat according to the voter list and ensure the first and second doses of Covid vaccination in the same proportion. The Collector, while discussing the availability of drinking water in Baniyatara, inquired about the progress of the work of Jal Jeevan Mission. She said that while giving adequate training to the water committees, they should be provided necessary information regarding water quality and recovery etc.
