On the initiative of Gramodyog Minister Guru Rudrakumar, Bell Metal Art will soon become a big source of revenue of women from forest regions. To the same end, Handicraft Development Board Jagdalpur, Bastar has organised a 3-month-long Bell Metal Sculptural Art training programme at village Chilkuti of Jagdalpur Block. Gramodyog Department’s Handicraft Development Board has been organising training programme about different sculptural art for forest dwelling people to directly connect them to employment opportunities.
 
Handicraft Development Board Jagdalpur, District Bastar General Manager LS Vatti said the three-month training programme has been organized at village Chilkuti, where 20 tribal women are getting trained in Bell Metal Art. In the three-month long training programme from October 11, 2021 to January 10, 2022, each participant will get Rs 1,500 scholarship. After the training, the bell metal skills of trainees will be polished and they would be able to create product according to demand in market. The training will boost their employment opportunity and income. The products made during training will also be provided with market.
