The 2-day conference saw rich exchange of knowledge on sustainable growth challenges facing the nation in the context of pandemic crisis, life-style changes and the green challenges for organisations and society Business Bureau : The Institute of Management Technology (IMT) Nagpur concluded its 7th International Conference on Sustainability & Management Strategy (ICSMS 2021) at the institute campus. The two-day conference saw rich exchange of knowledge on sustainable growth challenges facing the nation – in the context of pandemic crisis, life-style changes and the green challenges for organisations and society.
 
The inaugural ceremony featured the keynote address by Dr Breena E Coats, Professor Emeritus of Sustainability and Strategy, Dr Vipin Gupta, Co-Director, Global Management Academy, CSUSB, USA; Dr Aatya Kapley, Senior Scientist, CSIR-NEERI Nagpur-India. Next day’s sessions included invited special keynote speakers and chief guest Krishnan Natarajan, Senior Industry Consultant, Bangalore, Dr T K Chatterjee, industry practitioner and associate professor at IMT Nagpur. Their contributions span from corporate strategies for sustainability to that of present state of sustainable development and models, sustainable management and education in the new normal, industry 4.0 era, climate change as societal complex problem and finding feasible solutions at the attitudinal, organizational, societal and policy-level.
 
The technical sessions of the conference spread over two days saw presentations and discussions on various topics like post Covid-19 challenges and corporate strategy, life-style changes and environment, sustainability and jobs creation, individual responsibility towards sustainable behavior, and innovation and growth challenges. Dr C V Chalapati Rao, Former Senior Chief Scientist at CSIR-NEERI Nagpur, gave the concluding keynote address. The valedictory session was chaired by Dr Janaki Ramudu, Dean (Academics), Dr Jitendra Sharma and Dr Sarbjit Singh, members-Director’s Office Committee (DOC). Dr Gajavelli VS, Conference Chairperson, proposed the vote of thanks.
