Karate belt gradation exam concludes

 

 

MITSUYA-KAI Hayashi-ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do India organised belt gradation examination at Divisional Sports Complex Indoor Stadium, Mankapur. The examination was conducted by Hanshi Dr Zakir S Khan.

Khan was assisted by Sensei Sarvesh Gaidhane, Sensei Tarul Barve, Sensei Sufiyan Mugal, Sensei Tina Barve, Sensei Mrunal Wankhede and Sensei Shraddha Allewar. Karate is divided into two main grades or ranks which are called ‘Dan’ for black belt and ‘Kyu’ grades for all colour belts.

Those winning grades include — Yellow Belt (8th Kyu): Azmat Baig, Lavanya Wawre, Krishna Singh, Ayan Kothari, Yatharth Wawre, Yuvraj Mishra, Aditya Sontakke, Sauleha Baig, Vanshaj Gopalani.

Orange Belt (7th Kyu): Afzal Baig, Sudhiksha Adhikari, Maahi Kukreja.

Blue Belt (6th Kyu): Garima Barange, Siddhi Saoji, Rishikesh Bawankar.

Purple Belt (5th Kyu): Mohd. Yahya, Chetan Barange, Altamash Ansari.

Green Belt (4th Kyu): Atharv Ingle, Afnan Ahmed, Mohd Arish Ahmed, Shreya Saoji, Anis Khurpadi.

Brown Belt (3rd Kyu): Shivam Sontakke.
