Arsade shines for Modern CA

 

 

 

VRUSHABH Arsade scored a huge century as Modern Cricket Academy thrashed Reshimbagh Krida Mandal by 157 runs in the ongoing Guzder League B Division tournament played at Pandav College Ground. Batting first, Modern Cricket Academy scored 370 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs. Arsade top scored with 175 runs while Santosh Ade added 50. For Reshimbagh Krida Mandal, Hrishikesh Athode picked up 3 wickets. In reply. Reshimbagh managed only 213 in 40.3 overs. Arsade scalped three wickets giving 18 runs while Pravesh Assudani took two wickets. Arsade continued his fine form in the second game as well as his 68 runs helped his side beat Sharda Cricket Club by seven wickets on Tuesday. Sharda posted 150 which was easily chased by Modern in 25.4 overs. In another match, Central Dhantoli Cricket Club beat Anurag Cricket Club, Kamptee by four wickets. Anurag posted 177 for nine which was chased by CDCC in 32 overs losing six wickets.

 

Anuj Rode took five wickets for CDCC while captain Yajwan Gadhave scored unbeaten 74 in their successful chase. In the third match of the day, Hanuman Vyayam Prasarak Mandal (HVPM) thrashed Cricket Club of Gondia by a whopping 319 runs. HVPM scored 380 runs with Krishna Deshmukh (61), Piyush Khope (49), Aditya Ahuja (57) and Nitesh Sharma (77) scoring bulk of runs. In reply, Gondia were bundled out for 61 runs with HVPM captain Parag Gandhi taking four wickets from 2.1 overs.
