‘Bablu Babylon Se’ selected for IFFI

Manoj Pahwa starrer short film ‘Bablu Babylon Se’ has been selected for 52nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to be held in Goa. The IFFI will be held in Goa from November 20 to 28. The short film ‘Bablu Babylon Se’ will be screened in the IFFI on November 22. The writer and director of the film ‘Bablu Babylon Se’ is Abhijeet Sarthi, who belongs to Raipur city. He has completed his film school education from the prestigious ‘Satyajit Rai Film and Television Institute Kolkata’. The film has been produced by Ruchika Gupta, cinematography by Tarak P Tej, edited by Abhishikta Kaila, sound by Dibakar Saha and Kalesh V, and music by Udit Prakash. The film has been shot near Balco Medical Center in Naya Raipur.
 
Bollywood’s famous actor Manoj Pahwa is the protagonist of the film and he has been well supported by Suhas Bansod from Raipur, who is now making his mark in web series and films. Chhattisgarh’s local actors Shibani Mukherjee, Pumpe Sahu, Yash Raj Sarthi, Lalit Sarthi along with Mrinmayi Biswas, Ashutosh Sohan, Purab Pandey and Ashok Gupta have acted in the film. The 52nd edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) will be held in Goa. This festival will take place from 20 to 28 November. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur has announced that ‘Istvan Szabo’ and ‘Martin Scorsese’ will be honoured with Satyajit Ray Lifetime Achievement Award at this festival.
 
Martin Scorsese is widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential directors in film history. Short film ‘Bablu Babylon Se’ has been a part of the 10th Dharamsala International Film Festival. The short film ‘Bablu Babylon Se’ will be also screened in the competition section of International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala which will be held from December 4 to 9, informed Director Abhijeet Sarthi.
