Congress workers take out Jan Jagran Padyatra from Azad Ward

As per the directives of the Pradesh Congress Committee, Zila Congress Committee Durg (City) on Wednesday took out Jan Jagran Padyatra against inflation from Azad Ward of the city. During the Padyatra, the congressmen made the general public aware with the record breaking price rice reported under BJP’s regime and said that it is for the first time when the prices of petrol and diesel have touched the three digits mark.
They also stated that people will continue to suffer until the BJP is ruling in the Centre. According to information, the congressmen led by General Secretary of Pradesh Congress Committee, Rajendra Sahu and Zila Congress Committee President Gaya Patel, took out the Padyatra from Ward-37, Azad Ward at 10 AM. Passing through various localities, the Padyatra concluded at Santoshi Darbar Mandir. The Congressmen stated that the BJP had promised to bring the inflation under control within 100 days after coming to power but contrary to its claims, the inflation has reached a new high. The Congressmen stated that the prices of petrol and diesel have crossed Rs 100 mark and the backbone of the common man has been broken due to inflation. Those present in the Padyatra included Altaf Ahmed, Rajkumar Narayani, Sandeep Shrivastava, Devesh Mishra, Mayor in Council member Bhola Mahobiya, Ward Corporator Shraddha Soni, Alakh Navrang, Rajesh Vadyalkar, Kalyan Singh Thakur, Ramratan Jaltare, Pashi Ali, Ashok Mehra and others.
