Important instructions
 
■ If candidates fail to confirm on-line filled application by EScrutiny center, then such applications will be rejected and name of such candidates will not appear in the merit list(s) prepared for the purpose of Admission for both CAP as well as Non-CAP process.
 
■ Facility of Online Registration & Documents verification, confirmation of Application Form for Admission to Seats other than CAP Seats shall be continued till 23rd December, 2021 up to 5.00 PM at online EVerification by Scrutiny Center.
 
■ Applications registered after 18th November 2021 shall be considered only for Non CAP Seats.
 
■ Applications confirmed by Scrutiny Center/Facilitation Center after 20th November 2021 shall be considered only for Non CAP Seats. 
 
THE admission process of First Year of Four Year duration full time engineering and technology programme (B.E./ B. Tech.) in the Government, Government Aided, University Managed Institutes, University Managed Departments and Unaided private professional educational institutes for the Academic Year 2021-22 has begun. Announcing the process, State Common EntranceTest Cell said, “Considering the COVID-19 outbreak and at present situation, it is essential to maintain the social distancing and avoid the crowding of parents and students for document verification. In view of this, the concept of EScrutiny of the documents verification and physical scrutiny that was introduced by Dr Abhay Wagh, Director of Technical Education (DTE) will continue this year.
 
The candidate shall choose any one mode for document verification during online form filling. Candidate shall register online, fill and submit online application form and upload the required documents from anywhere through the computer connected to internet and he/she need not have to visit personally for verification and confirmation of the application form in case of E- scrutiny mode selected. The application and documents shall be verified and confirmed by the designated EScrutiny Center through online mode or if candidate selected physical scrutiny he needs to visit nearest FC Centre.
 
Eligibility criterion Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical Vocational subject or Computer Science or Information Technology or Informatics Practices or Agriculture or Engineering Graphics or Business Studies or Electronics or Entrepreneurship and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together and should obtain non-zero positive score in JEE Main (B.E/B.Tech) or The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in MHT-CET 2021 and should obtain non zero score in MHTCET 2021. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero positive score in JEE Main(B.E/B.Tech) over the candidates who obtained non zero score in MHT-CET 2021. Or (ii) Passed minimum 3 years Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 45% marks (at least 40% marks, in case of Backward class categories, economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra only. The candidates should apply online on www.mahacet.org as per schedule.
