Health Department teams visited many areas of the city and realised fine from erring people for littering public places and not using masks 
 
Looking to the possibility of third wave of covid-19, the Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (JMC) administration, on Tuesday asked all officials and employees to come to the offices only by wearing facemask. Now strict action would be taken against the employees who come to the office without wearing mask. Municipal Commissioner Sandeep G R has directed Additional Commissioner Mahesh Kumar Kori to ensure abovementioned direction be followed in toto. Likewise, the teams of health department of the JMC visited many areas of the city and realized fine from erring people for littering public places and not applying facemask.
 
Officials of health department took fine from general public, street vendors and shopkeepers and also urged them to avoid such act in future. Health Officer Bhupendra Singh said following the direction of the Municipal Commissioner health department has expedited the drive and officials are covering maximum areas of the city regularly and taking fine from erring people. He said Chief Sanitary Inspector, Assistant Sanitary Inspectors and other officials of health department, on Tuesday carried out drive in many areas of the city and issued challan to a large number of people and also realized fine from them.
 
He said the officials are continuously conducting the drive in all 16 divisions of the city. They are taking spot fine from erring people. Singh said street vendors and shopkeepers generally encroach busy roads near squares and hinders traffic movement and causes inconveniences to commuters, hence health department officials also taking fine such erring shopkeepers. Singh said senior officials, on Tuesday issued challan to 84 people and realized spot fine of Rs 8,960 from them.
