The 43rd Inter-Regional Electricity Cricket Tournament being organised under Central Sports and Art Counsil, Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company, inaugurated at Pandutal ground, Rampur on Thursday. Chief General Manager, Human Resource and Administration, MP Power Management Company and General Secretary, Central Sports and Art Council, Rajeev Gupta graced the inaugural ceremony as chief guest. Chief Engineer, Jabalpur Region, RK Sthapak was the special guest. General Secretary, Gupta hoped that the players will display sportsman spirit and perform excellently during tournament. Secretary Sports, Central Sports and Art Council, AK alang, secretary, Office, Alok Shrivastava, Secretary Finance, Devendra Chadokar, Secretary Art, Himanshu Shrivastava and a large number of former and present cricket players attended the ceremony. Captain of Central Office, Vinod Singh Rajput administered pledge of sportsman spirit to all the players of participating teams.
 
Four matches will be played in a row at Neemkheda Cricket Stadium of Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association on December 10, 2021. The first match of the tournament will be played between Central Officer Jabalpur and Shahdol Region, followed by Rewa Region and Bhopal Region, whereas during afternoon session the matches will be held between Ujjain Region and Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station, Birsinghpur and Gwalior region and Satpura Thermal Power Station, Sarni, respectively. All these 20-20 matches will be held on knock-out basis. Daily four matches will be played.
 
The 14 teams which was participating in the tournament included the host Central Office, Jabalpur, Jabalpur region, Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal, Gwalior, Shri Singaji Thermal Power Statiion Khandwa, Satpura Thermal Power Station, Sarni, Amarkantak Thermal Power Station Chachai, Sanjay Gandhi Thermal Power Station Birsinghpur and Tones Hydel Power Station Sirmour respectively. State-level Empire, Subodh Dhande, Anil Sharma and Sandeep Barman will fulfill the responsibility of empiring during all the matches.
