Podar International School, Jabalpur has started various club activities for the students to promote overall holistic development of the students and also to generate awareness towards the protection of the mother earth. As of now the school has already started with the Happy Me Club and Organic farming activity in the school campus involving our teachers and students. Organic farming helps to maintain environment health by reducing the level of pollution. It reduces human and animal health hazards by reducing the level of residues in the product. It helps in keeping agricultural production at a sustainable level. It is worth mentioning here that along with the students the school staff have planted varieties of herbal plants, fruits and vegetables as a healthy and green India initiative.

Some of the important herbs planted are Hanggam (medicinal plant grown in Manipur and North East India). It belongs to the Mustard family, Coriander leaves, varieties of vegetables of the gourd family, Brinjal, Papaya and many other useful herbs. Plantation of many other medicinal plants is already underway. Principal, Bharat Bhushan Jha along with the staff members are actively involved in Organic farming mission along with raising awareness among children on various means to protect the environment and depleting natural resources on earth.
