CG gets three national awards for doing excellent work for divyangs

Chhattisgarh was on Friday awarded three national awards for doing excellent work for the divyangs. The award was received by Chhattisgarh Women and Child Development Minister Anila Bhediya at a programme organised at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
On this occasion, Secretary Social Welfare Department Reena Babasaheb Kangle, Director Social Welfare P Dayanand, Deputy Secretary Chhattisgarh Government Social Welfare Department Rajesh Tiwari and Joint Director Social Welfare Pankaj Verma were also present.
Chhattisgarh has received this award for providing text books, literature and informative Braille books in Braille script to visually-impaired persons. Braille Press Bilaspur has received National Award for remarkable work in online education in e-library under Accessible Library.
Apart from this, Nava Raipur Atal Nagar Development Authority has also been given a national award for creating a barrier-free environment in Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar for road, buildings, public places, toilets and other places for divyangjan. As well as Nook Tea Cafe Ventures in Samta Colony, Raipur, L L P Nukkad Tea Cafe is being operated efficiently to connect the hearing impaired persons with self-employment.
In this, the hearing impaired persons are giving their services to the general public. It was also awarded the National Award for its remarkable work in the direction of a positive environment towards persons with disabilities in the society.
