Chhattisgarh Vyakhyata Sangh on Friday staged a protest to press for their demands like promotions, time-bound pay scale, increasing retirement age etc at Budhatalab in capital city from 12 pm to 4 pm.

The main demands of lecturers, include immediate starting of procedure of promotion of E & T Cadre Lecturers on to the vacant posts of principals, payment of Rs 5,400. Grade pay according to proposal of Director of Public Instructions to Assistant Teachers that have been deprived of third time-bound pay scale after 30 years in service and directly recruited lecturers should get Rs 7,600 grade pay after completion of 30 years in service.

Also, don’t shut down the Hindi medium school on opening of new English medium schools, retirement age of the teachers in schools should be increased to 65-years, payment of pending 14 per cent DA to state employees/officers and 31 per cent DA, and issue promotion order for promotion of E and T cadre principals to the vacant post of Deputy Directors.
