Sakshi Nandurkar, who lost her mother one month before the CA Foundation exam due to breast cancer, has become probable city topper in CA Intermediate examination on Monday. The Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India (ICAI) has released the results for the CA Foundation and Intermediate exams 2020 on its official website on Monday. Sakshi scored 581 marks out of 800 in the examination.
“It was difficult for me to concentrate on studies after this huge loss. After three months I started preparation with a goal to fulfil my mother’s dream,” said Sakshi to ‘The Hitavada’. Sakshi’s hard work paid her back and she bagged All India Rank (AIR) 44 in the CA Foundation exam. Sakshi maintained her consistency in CA Intermediate exam also and became city topper on Monday.
“I would like to share the credit with my mother, father and mentors who always encouraged me for this exam,” said Sakshi. Sakshi’s father Rajendra Nandurkar is a Science Teacher and her mother Sandhya was also a teacher. Sakshi’s younger brother is engineering student. Sakshi scored 97.6% in Class 10th and 96.4% in Class 12th. Sakshi has started her Articleship. Sakshi has planned to start preparation for UPSC exam after doing job for five years,” she added.
