Police officials examining security arrangements at Madan Mahal Railway Station.
Staff Reporter :
Farmers protesting against the new farm laws had called for ‘Rail Roko Andolan’, on Thursday. They had planned to stop trains at Madan Mahal, Kachhpura, Shahpura, Bhitoni and Narsinghpur stations to protest against the agriculture laws. Hence, to foil the attempt of protestors, GRP and RPF made necessary arrangements at railway stations. The security agencies were deployed at stations to stop the protests.
Senior authorities from District Police Force and district administration were monitored and reviewed the security arrangements. Around 50 RPF and GRPF personnel kept eye on railway platforms and nearby areas. The GRP station in-charge, Madan Mahal Station Rajesh Raj and RPF Outer post in-charge Prabha Bhajaiya informed that the security agencies (RPF and GRPF) had received information that farmers would protest by stopping the Janata Express and Mahanagri train at Madan Mahal Station from 12 pm to 4 pm.
Acting on the information, tight security arrangements were made at the Railway Stations since morning. The passengers going in and out of the stations were questioned thoroughly. The RPF and GRPF personnel did not receive any case on Rail Roko protest from Madan Mahal station till Narsinghpur station.
