RAIPUR,
The prices of farm products and equipment will go up, there will be inflation and the common man will be burdened and put in trouble
Reacting over the Union Budget, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has termed it as extremely disappointing and a threat to the future of the country and its people. Speaking to mediapersons at Swami Vivekanad Airport after returning from Sukma tour, the Chief Minister said that this Budget is an embodiment of apathy and indifference and there is nothing for Chhattisgarh in this Budget. Only empty promises have been made to the people of states where elections are due. The CM added that the prices of farm products and equipment will go up, there will be inflation and the common man will be burdened and put in trouble.
The Chief Minister further added that the Union Government is hell bent on selling everything. The mainstay of the welfare and the economy in the country the Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) will also be sold by this Government. From Government banks to harbours, airports, insurance companies to transmission lines, from dedicated Railway corridors to ware houses all have been lined up by this Government for sale. He said that he has been telling about this evil intention of Central Government from the very beginning and the Congress leadership has also been cautioning the people about the intentions of the BJP Government. A few industrialists close to the BJP are being benefited by these schemes of this Government and the Union Budget presented on Monday is nothing, but making the malicious dream of the BJP, a reality. The Chief Minister said that what the Congress Government created in the last seventy years this Government will sell off everything.
Through foreign direct investment, the Government has sold out all infrastructure into private hands. Other than this, the Union Government has no vision of its own. The chief minister further said that the farmers of Chhattisgarh got nothing in this budget. Those employed in the organised and unorganised sector, unemployed and the common peasants have nothing in this budget and they are not on the priority list, the Chief Minister said and added that other than putting burden on the common man this Government did nothing in this budget.
The Government which has been talking tall about its commitment to deal with the Corona pandemic made no provision in the budget for free vaccination. They have no road map as to how the 127 crore people will be vaccinated, the budget is silent on free vaccination which means only very few people will get the vaccine free. The budget has let the people of India down. Baghel said that China is continuously violating the border and the Indian soldiers are fighting them bravely but the defense Budget is not at all rewarding for them. And also as far as employment is concerned, it’s a complete failure in giving employment to the youth.
