KOMAL Zanzad will lead the 22-member Vidarbha women cricket team that will be participating in the Senior Women One-Day Tournament to be played at Chennai from March 13.
 
VCA team is in Elite ‘E’ Group and will play its first match against Meghalaya on March 13.
 
Disha Kasat will be left-arm pacer Komal’s deputy.
 
The team also has batswoman Bharti Fulmali. Both Komal and Bharti were part of Indian women T20 team that played against visiting England side a couple of years ago.
 
Raveena Singh, Vinaya Mate and Shweta Naidu are three wicketkeepers in the squad.
 
The 22-member squad has been picked looking at the COVID situation in the country.
 
In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, all the safety measures and systems are being implemented to ensure that the squad will get a safe environment, informs a media release.
 
Vidarbha will have Karnataka, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Meghalaya as their opponents.
The team will leave for Chennai on March 4 after undergoing RT-PCR COVID-19 test which will be conducted on March 2.
