 Science awareness programme underway for women on National Science Day.

Special awareness programme on science was organised as a part of National Science Day celebrations. Science communicator Sarika Gharu said that during pandemic it becomes more important for household women to know about science. Usually, after school days many women even don’t read anything about science journals and articles which is not correct. The awareness in society can be brought only by changing mentality of women inside homes and helping them to understand many things in simple format.
 
Sarika said that she is doing voluntary awareness programme under the inspiration of Ashutosh Sharma, Central Science Secretary, and Government of India. She also raising awareness about COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines etc. To celebrate National Science Day, Sarika innovates the local theme of women’s role in coping with the epidemic in the current environment. She also said that the importance needs to be given in staying healthy through innovation and changing habits of the current environment and to combat the epidemic by changing habits.
 
National Science Day is celebrated in India on February 28 each year to mark the discovery of the Raman effect by Indian Physicist C V Raman. National Science Day is celebrated to spread a message about the importance of science used in the daily life of the people. To display all the activities, efforts and achievements in the field of science for human welfare.
