The District Administration, police authority and other agencies are toiling hard to ensure foolproof arrangements for the visit of President of India Ram Nath Kovind to the city. To inspect progress of the on-going arrangements, Collector Karmveer Sharma along with senior officials concerned visited a number of places and gave needed directions to the officials. He asked senior officials to expedite the work and complete all required arrangements early. Collector Sharma visited Circuit House no. 1, 2, Hotel Kalchuri, Manas Bhawan auditorium, Bhedaghat, Gwarighat and inspected the current status of on-going preparations.
 
At the outset, he visited Bhedaghat and examined fitness of lifts, arrangements of sufficient boats at river bank. On the occasion, he directed the senior officials to see that the arrangements must be perfect. Later, he also visited Dhuadhar waterfall and asked to make necessary arrangements at the site. Thereafter, the Collector also visited Gwarighat and other aforementioned areas and gave necessary directions to concerned senior officials.
 
It may be noted that the President of India Ram Nath Kovind is proposed to visit the city on March 6. The President would take part in two programmes - one of Tourism Department and another at the Madhya Pradesh High Court. Chief Justice of India, Sharad Arvind Bobde, Union Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Prahlad Singh Patel and Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan are expected to participate in the programmes.
