Officers and employee staff concerned with the Department of Women and Child Development arranged a farewell function to bid adieu to Child Development Project Officer, SA Siddiqui on his retirement, on Saturday. Justice JP Gupta and Justice Faheem Anwar, Rashid Sohail Siddiqui (former Chairman, Jabalpur Development Authority), Joint Director, Woman and Child Development, Shashi Shyam Uikey and District Programme Officer, Manohar Lal Mehra especially attended the function.
 
Addressing the function, the eminent guests including Vivek Chaturvedi, internationally famed Anuradha Deewan, Kathak dancer, Mohini Moghe, Joint Commissioner, Treasury, Rohit Kaushal, Professor Rajlaxmi Tripathi and others shared experiences they obtained while working with SA Siddiqui. They all appreciated him for his down-to-earth attitude, effective leadership quality and warm-hearted personality.
 
The District Programme Officer and Joint Director felicitated Siddiqui by presenting shawl, shree-phal and garlands. Others who registered their presence in the function included former Mayor, Kalyani Pandey, Assistant Director, Manish Seth, Girish Billore, Manish Sharma, Sanjay Ibrahim and a large number of officers and employees of the department. The programme was anchored by Girish Billore, Director, Bal Bhavan while Madhuri Rajal proposed a vote of thanks.
