Vishnu Dutt Sharma, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party addresses press conference in city, on Sunday

“The Union Budget 2021-22 mirrors the visionary approach of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to improve the lifestyle of poor and needy people. PM Modi has turned the challenge into opportunity and brought the country on top in the world by implementing Ayushman Bharat, world’s biggest health scheme in the world. Modi has materialized the dream of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay by fulfilling the need of homeless people, LPG connections and food to around 80 lakh people during COVID-19 lockdown,” said Vishnu Dutt Sharma, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party while addressing a press conference, on Sunday. BJP State Chief said that following COVID-19 pandemic, PM, Modi and Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman have presented a historic and development oriented budget.

Focus on capital expenditure cleared the intentions of Government on strengthening infrastructure with the budget provision of Rs. 5.54 lakh crore which is 34.5 percent higher than previous year. Union Budget triggered a record rally in the stock market which proved the success of Government in attracting foreign investment. Even after huge financial downfall due to lockdown, the Government did not impose any additional tax but strengthened the budget for health, education, security and basic infrastructure and making the country self-dependent.

Holistic provision of budget will strengthen the economy, generate new employment opportunities and develop new national assets. Addressing the press conference, Member of Parliament, Rakesh Singh said that it is first time in the history of country when any government has registered 137 percent growth in health budget and provided Rs. 2.23 lakh crore for health budget. Replying to a query, State President, Sharma said that some anti-national elements are trying to provoke farmers of a particular state against the government. Even after several rounds of meetings, none of the agitators pointed out a single issue on provisions of agriculture laws.
