Ace shooter of Madhya Pradesh Manisha Keer has bagged a silver medal for the country at Shooting World Cup held at Cairo in Egypt. Keer represented India in the trap team women’s event at the World Cup organised by International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF). Individually, in the event, Keer scored a total of 158 points in the event while her team-mates Rajeshwari Kumari and Keerti Gupta scored 143 points each.
This way team India’s grand total in the event was 444 while Russian Federation’s score was 463 and host Egypt scored 405 points. Team India won a silver medal in the event. Madhya Pradesh Minister for Sports and Youth Welfare Yashodhara Raje Scindia congratulated Keer for her winning the silver medal and said that the state is proud of daughter Keer. The minister also said that this achievement of Keer has proved her mettle amid the corona pandemic. Daughters of Madhya Pradesh are doing excellent at international level and winning medals, she added.
